SLC

Over New Years Nick and I were able to take one last getaway before my job gets crazy. We went to Salt Lake City and Park City in a whirlwind trip! The first evening my Aunt and Uncle took us to the nicest dinner way up in a canyon. The setting was beautiful and the food phenomenal!

After we took a field trip to see this gem (or eye sore).

The next day we went and had a great time on the mountain. It was a little icy and busy but still so fun to get out and see the beauty there!

That evening we had quite the experience at dinner, but thats what keeps life interesting! Great to spend New Years in a new city with a great man :)

UPDATE

I got these CRAZY pants on Black Friday from H&M! I don't know what my obsession with tie dye is lately but I really cant get enough of it. I think these will be fun to wear on a really lazy day or on a run!

Shared a drink with the mom and boy a few nights ago. We loaded up on all sorts of alcohol for the holidays. The drink shown is orange juice and Parrot Bay Rum {coconut flavored} SOOO delicious!! Pretty sure we will be having many more of those soon!!

I love my job! First day I flew to Portland and had a great meeting with everyone from all of our offices! Portland seems like such a fun city. I have only seen parts of the downtown area but I would love to go up one weekend for a fun adventure! Super easy to do with the public transportation there too! Even with all that Portland has to offer I could never live there...the rumors are right there truly is just too much rain.We also squeezed a little shopping in before we headed back to Boise {I think it will be a good fit!}

The next day I came to the office and found this gorgeous arrangement on my desk! My parents are just too sweet! I hope I remember to water it so that it lasts all the way through the holidays! So grateful!!

STEADY RUSH

Two of my very talented girl friends are in band called Steady Rush. They often play at a fun bar DT and Nick and I just love to go listen and dance to them! I can't wait until they are famous one day and I will know all of their originals! Everyone should check these ladies out on YouTube...so impressive!

JAKE OWEN

I have really been terrible at posting events lately! We had SO much fun with our friends at the Jake Owen Concert last month! Jack Ingram was his opener and was the funniest story teller!

Loved this outdoor venue at the Botanical Gardens. So beautiful made the experience even better! I just love Boise!!

FRUITLAND FOOTBALL

Labor Day Weekend my family went out to my boyfriend's hometown to watch his brother play high school football. The game was a total blow out but I just love the atmosphere at small town games. You can't see in this picture but the field is surrounded by corn fields...so cute!

Another great weekend spent with friends and family!

A LITTLE BIT COUNTRY

I had a great time at the Caldwell Night Rodeo with my Co-workers! The night was great but I was full of WAY too many adventures!!

Just yesterday Nick and I had a fab time at the Chris Young Concert at the Western Idaho Fair. Both of us ran into friends while we were there, love that about Boise!

So lucky to have him in my life {Stud}.

Gotta love fair food!!

BEND TRIP

I went with Nick and all of his relatives to visit Bend, Oregon for the first time. Very beautiful and fun place. Spent most of our weekend in Bend at this bridge. Of course we jumped off!! What you can't see in the picture is how FFFFREEZING the water was!! We also kayaked this river before we left, a slow paced activity for all the thrill seekers.

There was also a professional photographer at the family reunion so Nick and I were able to have our first pro photo! Wish I had known that one was coming but grateful to have it all the same!

STATE TOURS

I have been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to see a few of the great state facilities of Idaho. This photo is of the Idaho Corrections Center (ICC) a private prison just off Pleasant Valley Road...odd name I know.

Got to play around in these bad boys all day...

oh and these too...

and then played dress up as any girl does. The next tour was to the maximum security prison...unfortunately forgot to take pictures of that facility...hard to remember to take one outside. It's against the law to bring cell phones inside! My stay would have been longer than intended then! All of these tours gave me a GREAT appreciation for all of our state and federal officers. Thank you to all!!

*just want to apologize for my lack of posts...I will do better!!

Drive-in Date

I will totally admit to having an obsession with drive-ins! Just love them! It was one of the best dates ever when we went to watch Men in Black 3 at the Parma Drive-in. So cute and classic to snuggle in the back of a truck watching a movie and listening via radio station. Perfect night to go and lucky to get a good spot in the crowd! It is absolutely on my bucket list to own a drive in movie theater someday! I just love everything about it...from the the junk food to the atmosphere, it just perfect America.

Horse Races

So grateful to spend the weekend with long lost friends! (when this happened last month!) Danika was in from the great state of Colorado and I hadn't seen Gloria since Danika lived here...so sad. We all had a great time at ladies night at the horse races! I had never been and fell in love! If I ever have the time and money I will own one, such a thrill and excitement to watch such impressive competition!

So sad I can't go back this week with Nick and attempt to win some money and join the festivities there!

More iPhoto Finds

Out summer addiction! Pretty much every moment we can, Nick and I take the jet skis out. We just love it! This is a photo from when we went to Lake Lowell...water was colder than we expected but we still had a blast! Nick creatively invented a new way to sit on it and I got a little better at jumping mine! Much better excursion that our first go round at Lucky Peak that was, well, short lived thanks to the popo...Regardless, great times on these beasts!!

Camping Getaway

Isn't this the cutest campsite!! My wonderful boyfriend did the BEST job planning and preparing this entire trip!!

Some of my favorite moments of the trip where around this fire pit. We learned something new about everyone every night when we played the ABC topic game and toasted marshmallows.

I'm a lucky girl! Such a stud and gentleman :)) Pic taken on one of our lovely LONG adventures, a morning hike. Very diverse and pretty terrain!

Idaho never ceases to amaze me. Shoshone falls is one of the most beautiful sights...literally in the middle of flatland you happen upon this. The canyon the river flows through is equally as stunning. Just a few shots from our fabulous relaxing and fun filled adventure!

Happy Holiday

Hanging at the tiki hut with my main squeeze.

Loved this drink even if it didn't turn out as great as I anticipated. Supposed to be more separated colors but still a cute concept! I found the idea via pinterest (on this blog: http://www.inkatrinaskitchen.com/2012/06/july-4th-layered-drinks.html) and will share it with you too!

Festive 4th Drink:

Cran-Apple Juice
SOBE Pina Colada Drink
G2 Gatorade

Slowly add each drink to together starting with red, then white, and then blue. Poor SLOW to reduce the chance of each drink mixing. This separate occurs because each component of the drink has a different sugar content...so cool!

I loved this drink as is...but for a little kick of fun I added some Bacardi rum. It didn't look as pretty but tasted great. Everyone at the tiki had a great time :) Love the 4th!!

Tiki Times

Had the best time at my boyfriend's parents house this weekend and just have to share! They just built this sweet huge pond with a tiki-hut and all sorts of great surprises! We had a great evening of lounging on the beach, playing a little rusty volleyball, rope swinging into the water, and for some ramp jumping bikes into the pond. It's the epitome of summer fun. Can't wait to spend many more summer nights out there listening to Old Alabama :))

Wine Tasting

This last weekend was my wine tasting party in Sunny Slope, ID. It was absolutely spectacular! This photo is from my favorite of all the wineries. Hells Canyon had fabulous wine and owners. By far the most relaxing and peaceful environment.

We drank to flight of wine looking at this gorgeous view! So in love with this area!

Another of the wineries we visited was the Huston Vineyards. So cute and great friendly family operation.

Our final destination was the Fujishin Family Cellars. This is where I found my favorite wine! Lost West Winery label the Old Shed Red. Just sweet enough for a new wine-o to enjoy :)) My highest recommendations! Such a wonderful adventure with the closest of friends on a beautiful day!

Just had to share how great my valentine is! This is the candlelight dinner I was taken to blindfolded, even a candlelight path to get there. Even better...every course was my favorite food! Yay for fun-fetti cupcakes! This was actually outside on a closed-in porch and warmed by an awesome space heater! I am so lucky, even got a rose at the end like bachelor :)
