For Christmas my mom received a gift card to Coldwater Creek. We have never shopped there before, but you have to spend free money right?! We went in hoping we would find something to use it on and we both found something we loved! Mom found a beautiful wrap dress and I got this beauty:
I have been on the hunt for the perfect poncho for a long time {maybe a year} and this is just too perfect. Love the neutral colors and its a thick weave so its great quality! So excited to wear this to stay warm around here! BRRRR!!! I'm not convinced that CC will be one of my new shopping stops yet but I am still pleased that I finally found a poncho!

UPDATE
I got these CRAZY pants on Black Friday from H&M! I don't know what my obsession with tie dye is lately but I really cant get enough of it. I think these will be fun to wear on a really lazy day or on a run!
Shared a drink with the mom and boy a few nights ago. We loaded up on all sorts of alcohol for the holidays. The drink shown is orange juice and Parrot Bay Rum {coconut flavored} SOOO delicious!! Pretty sure we will be having many more of those soon!!
I love my job! First day I flew to Portland and had a great meeting with everyone from all of our offices! Portland seems like such a fun city. I have only seen parts of the downtown area but I would love to go up one weekend for a fun adventure! Super easy to do with the public transportation there too! Even with all that Portland has to offer I could never live there...the rumors are right there truly is just too much rain.We also squeezed a little shopping in before we headed back to Boise {I think it will be a good fit!}
The next day I came to the office and found this gorgeous arrangement on my desk! My parents are just too sweet! I hope I remember to water it so that it lasts all the way through the holidays! So grateful!!

STYLE CRUSH
Seems like everyone has at least one celebrity's style that they covet. For me it's Jennifer Aniston {for more reasons than just her name :)}. She has fabulously effortless and timeless style. There is a theme of dark and neutral colors in her wardrobe along with very similar silhouettes and pieces. Check these out:
Simple white dress and nude heels.
Love her boots and black leather jacket here.
Another black leather jacket and boyfriend jeans. {love the All Stars}
VERY similar to the previous picture but with a navy blazer.
One of my very favorite looks. Can't go wrong with denim, boots, white button up, and a classic trench.
Loving her classic style these days. So easy to implement into everyday life and easily accomplished with quality basics.
FYI all of these photos are found on my Stylin' Board on Pinterest.

"STREET" STYLE
You just never know where you are going to find inspiration for your next outfit. I was out running errands a few weeks ago and while I was stopped at a traffic light I saw a homeless man wearing a flannel button up and a camo hat and I loved the combo...so I tried it!
This hat is similar to the camo hat that I have, but mine is much cuter {if I do say so!} Mine is distressed and has a few diamonds on it as well! But the combo of these to patterns and the colors went together really well!
Photo via Target
This is the flannel that I purchased from Target. I had been looking for one for a while and this one had the right colors, pattern size, and was crazy affordable!

Just goes to show we should always keep an eye out for inspiration and sometimes try putting unexpected patterns together!

FAUX FUR AND RED LIPS
How adorable is the picture. I just love this gals style, very simple and classic. This is a look that I am super excited to recreate soon. I just bought a faux fur vest almost identical to this one and have all the other pieces to accomplish this fall/winter look. However, I don't have a red lipstick {that totally completes this look}. That purchase has been on my wish list for a while but I have been too chicken to go for it. Luckily I have the perfect opportunity to test {and hopefully buy!} some next week...post coming soon!

DISTRESSED T-SHIRT
I am SOO excited to share the a YouTube channel that I have been obsessed with lately! These ladies are seriously superstars when it comes to hair a beauty! MMandL have changed the make up products that I use {and their application} and even the way I style my hair! I love them!! I strongly recommend that everyone check them out on YouTube videos here. The video that I am sharing with you in this post is How to Distress T-Shirts. Michelle and Laura do a great job explaining how to distress you t-shirts in a cute way. I have TONS of old shirts that I never wear but thanks to this technique I will get way more use out of the ones I "made old."
Here is a picture of one of the shirts that I distressed. Too bad you can see the holes and texture I added but this shirt looks like it has been really loved. Excited to wear this on a causal day! Thanks MMandL...be sure to check them out!!

Unexpected Obsession
This simple Tiffany and Co. bracelet. I'd say they are pretty similar and the Pandora bracelet means so much more! Thanks Lisa!
Shopping List
I often find myself shopping (and purchasing!) without a mission. At the beginning the year I made myself a list of items that I have always wanted to buy but for some reason never purchased. I had to buy things on the list before I bought something else, and it worked...and because of it my closet greatly improved with more versatile pieces! Like every New Years Resolution it has fizzled. Now I am creating a post to share some of my wish list items with you and also to have a record to keep myself accountable!
Cowboy boots. A summer staple and classic piece. In love with this pair...now just have to find them!

Ipad 2. Love this...really want to read my magazines on it!
Beautiful luggage. Bric's Luggage carries beautiful classic pieces like this one. Definitely an investment but well worth it!
As seen in my previous post, I love this bold statement necklace by Stella and Dot. Love the safari vibe. I have some saving to do but hopefully I will be seen strutting with these items soon!

Blogger Insiration
I find so much inspiration and many great ideas from other bloggers. One of my all time faves is Lilly's Style, Simply Me. Found at http://simplyme091909.blogspot.com/ Browsing through her old posts I found some GREAT sights for jewelry that I have to share!!
Posh Locket
Posh Locket had some super cute finds at very affordable prices. I'm really into turquoise right now thanks to bachelorette Emily Maynard. Gold is always a staple too.
Adorable leather cuff in multiple colors.
Sensing a theme here.
James Avery
Used to frequent this sight all the time and have always loved this simple ring.
Stella and Dot
Stella and Dot will always have a special place in my heart. I have bracelets from them similar to this but a girl can never have too many!!
Completely obsessed with this African inspired chunky necklace. Need to put this on the wish list!! Post to come soon :)) Happy online shopping (or dreaming!!)

Lucky Girl
My boyfriend got some Christmas gifts from Old Navy that he wasn't too fond of so we took them back and received in-store credit. Unfortunately, he didn't find anything that he liked so he let me spend it! Got so many cute things! He picked out the striped sundress that will get lots of use this summer, pretty good pick! (although, I do think I will put a cute belt around the waist instead of the tie string.) The others are just fun basics that you can never have enough of. The random add on was this handy little tupperware. It was irresistible! It has a sandwich compartment and then two other separate containers for my lunch side. Another great find by Nick! Can't wait to have a sammy at work!

I love love this look! Camel is one of my favorite colors right now and comfort is always a fav. I am planning to get a trench coat in the near future but until then I love my oversized cardigan as a sub.
Cardigan: Ann Taylor
Shirt: Nordstrom Rack
Necklace: Forever 21
Denim: William Rast
Belt: Gap
Another interest inspiration. I love the coral in the original but I think my subs fill in nicely for a more neutral look. I actually think I will wear this to work today!
Cardigan: Forever 21
Tank: LOFT
Necklace: Local artisan (in Colorado)
Denim: Express
Flats: BCBG (via TJ Max!)

Another super cute pinterest inspiration!
Scarf: Compliments of my roommate :)
Jacket: LOFT
Top: J Crew
Belt: Fossil
Pants: Abercrombie and Fitch
Boots: Franco Sarto
My version and the pinterest version of a cute outfit.
Shirt: Ralph Lauren Sport
Scarf: Forever 21
Watch: LOFT
Pearl Earrings (hard to see): Zales
Jeans: William Rast again
Shoes: Toms (hand-died these!) They were originally plain canvas but I used rit from the grocery store to liven them up!
I LOVE pinterest for lots of reasons but one is the fashion outfits you can find, but it made me think I needed to go buy lots of pieces if I wanted to make those outfits. Instead of doing that I decided to go through my closest and see how close I could get to recreating my pins for free! It worked! I had lots more than I expected! Ill be posting these lots now I hope and some of my own personal favorites too like this one! I would wear this everyday if I could!
Top: J Crew
Glasses: Honestly not sure but I know they were really inexpensive
Hoop Earrings: Stella and Dot
Scarf: Forever 21
Jeans: William Rast
Belt: Fossil
